What will you do as a Strategy Consultant? 

In this job you will join a small team of consultants to pioneer and further develop our strategic services for research institutes and organisations, thereby meeting key client and sector needs. In collaboration with today’s leading scientists and academic teams you will have the opportunity to deliver new insights and ideas that will address many industrial and societal needs.
You are the creative problem-solver who knows how to break down complex issues into its key components, even under pressure. You have a professional attitude and you are, just like us, dedicated to delivering high quality products and innovative solutions to our clients.

Your day at ttopstart looks like this:

Fresh coffee first of course. Then you start the working day with a short energetic update with your small team of consultants. You agree on the value proposition of a new service you are developing and decide on your business development strategy;

Together with a colleague you visit a potential client, who has asked us to brainstorm on possible ways to increase the performance of his research institute. After the meeting you hash out a high-level project plan including financials and forward this to the potential client to continue the discussion;

You have lunch with your colleagues and, in addition to discussing the weather and weekend plans, instigate a lively discussion on the future of AI in healthcare;

You host an interactive workshop for your colleagues using one of your current projects as a case, as you love sharing the lessons learned with others. Moreover, you welcome the critical feedback which allows you to further refine your approach;

You end the day with 4 short phone interviews with several members of a research theme at one of the leading universities in Europe. After asking the right questions, you quickly summarise the information in a high-level framework, ready for discussion with one of your team mates the next day.

What are we looking for?

You are driven by a desire to make an impact on the life sciences and health sector and are passionate about biomedical innovation.

You have preferably a PhD degree in life sciences, medtech or related and/or affinity with the academic research environment;

You have 2-7 years of relevant work experience after your MSc or PhD degree preferably in a consultancy environment;

You have strong creative problem-solving skills, and a truly proactive, independent and confident attitude;

Strong ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing;

You have consulting skills such as flexibility in communication, expectation management and customer focus, as well as skills to balance time, efficiency, effort, quality and innovation.
